    • Just received a power pocket digi cam from hubby - canon S95 (through the kindness of my cousin Mil). Hhmmnnnn, I would like to thank hubby for the gift, mwahhhh!!! Hugs and kisses to U papa.

    Canon recently unveiled its latest model in its successful PowerShot S-series with the launch of the new PowerShot S95 – an advanced, compact digital camera for photographers looking for outstanding low light performance and manual control in a pocket-sized body. Now I can easily take high quality pics by simply having to ....point and shoot!!! Huh amazing!!!

     

     

     


  • 12/15/10--00:02: Memories of my late Papa (chan 1208917)

               As I put down my thoughts and feelings, Papa has been gone for 21 days. When I get home from work, I still have to check myself expecting to find him at the doorway of the house he shares with Mama, which is just beside my house, or see him puttering around the house because he never runs out of work to do. Now, I won’t see him.- he is gone.

     

                However, memories of Papa crowd my thoughts.

               

                I remember one particular day when he went to Davao City and asked me what I wanted as “pasalubong”. I was just 5 years old then but I know what I wanted him to buy for me – a dress with big pockets. And he did just that, never wanting to disappoint his only daughter. I still have the ...

    22-24 Ferbruary 2011 A national shrine, the historic Barasoain Church is the site of the Constitutional Convention of the first Philippine Republic, making the Philippines the very first Asian Government to promulgate a Constitution. It was the Seat of the First Philippine Republic on Sept. 15, 1898 to the last week of Feb. 1899 under the presidency of Pedro Paterno. In its convent the Universidad Literaria Cientifica de Filipinas was first housed. It also boasts of a light and sound museum under the management of National Historical Institute.

    Binondo Church is also known as Minor Basilica of St. Lorenzo Ruiz is located in Binondo, Manila. Founded by the Dominican priests in 1596, Binondo Church is one of the oldest places of Christian worship in the Philippines. It was administered by the Secular Priests in 1768, returned to Dominican Administration in 1822 and back to Secular Priests in 1898. The maintenance is largely funded by the Catholic Chinese community, many of whom reside or operate businesses in neighboring Chinatown. Masses are held in Filipino, in Chinese dialects (Mandarin, Hokkien), and in English.
